The focus of the Group is to learn "Wet on Wet" oil painting as well as "Traditional" Each painter has the opportunity to advance to different levels and receive Certificates for each level from Certified Instructors.

"Wet on Wet" oil painting was developed by BILL ALEXANDER who had his own TV shows years ago called "The Happy Painter". He taught it to many people including BOB ROSS, who some remember from his TV shows, "The Joy of Painting". This style of painting is very popular world wide as most paintings are completed from start to finish in ONE day!

"Traditional" oil painting takes much longer, uses different methods, paints and brushes. One layer has to dry before another layer can be applied. Many of the "Traditional" Oil painting classes offered are once a week, for 5-6 weeks.

There are many "Happy Painters" in this group, and we hope to be posting paintings done by many.
