April 22 – April 25 TERESSA BERNARD, SFCA - Back by popular demand! 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. FLYING COLOURS is hosting a 3 day workshop EXPERIMENTAL APPROACHES WITH ACRYLIC – Creating Abstracts with Elements of Realism During this technique-oriented acrylic workshop, participants will be guided through the complexities of layering and adding a variety of media such as collage papers and texturing mediums. Completed works will build on photo transfers from photocopies of your own photos or your original drawings or sketches. Photocopies of text may also be used. Do you have an original poem to incorporate in a piece? You might consider shrinking or enlarging your photocopies. For the print makers in our midst, this is an excellent opportunity to incorporate some of your favorite prints into a mixed media piece. With plenty of one-on-one guidance, personal development is encouraged while creating abstracts with elements of realism into your paintings.
